Premstätten, Austria and Munich, Germany (August 28, 2024) – OSRAM Automotive takes the worry out of holiday trips – both on and off-road – with its LED products for automotive and bicycle lighting and its warning lights, additional headlights and accessories. From August 30 to September 8, the market leader in automotive lighting will be showcasing its popular products as well as some exciting innovations at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf.

OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER® LED SMART: next-generation LED retrofit lamps
No matter how well you plan your trip, you will occasionally find yourself on unfamiliar roads at night. The latest LED technology provides the best possible light on the road ahead and the verges, making spontaneous nighttime trips not only more pleasant but also much safer. The new OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER® LED SMART, the award-winning next-gen LED retrofit lamp, has been designed to replace the most popular H4 and H7 lamps, making it suitable for a wide range of campers and motorhomes. And this update speaks for itself. The new replacement lamp is up to 330 percent brighter¹, reduces glare by 50 percent², lasts up to six times longer¹ and uses 60 percent less energy¹.     

LEDsBIKE® RACE: LED technology from ams OSRAM now also for bicycles  
Mobility is the main reason why more and more people are choosing to go on camping holidays. It’s hardly surprising then that motorhomes are more likely than not to have bikes attached to the back. With the new LEDsBIKE® RACE sets, comprising front and rear lights, holidaymakers can find their way safely back from the nearest town to their parking lot at night. The sets are available in three versions, with the most powerful model delivering up to 100 lux for shining light as far as 100 meters ahead. The lights are approved in accordance with German traffic regulations and can be easily mounted on any type of bicycle thanks to the rubber strap and flexible 360° bracket. No tools are needed. The lights have an exceptionally long battery life of up to 14 hours.

Light means safety: the new LEDguardian® ROAD FLARE Signal V16 IoT
Vehicles can break down at the most inopportune times, and holiday trips are no exception. If your vehicle breaks down, the first thing you should do is to make sure it can be seen, for your own safety and the safety of other road users – especially at night. OSRAM Automotive has developed the LEDguardian® ROAD FLARE Signal V16 IoT precisely for this purpose. The 360 degree flashing orange hazard warning light can be seen from far away, even in daylight. Its ten long-life high-power LEDs draw attention to the vehicle and breakdown vehicle and alert other road users to the hazard. The light is waterproof, dustproof and shockproof and is equipped with a magnet for attaching to the vehicle. This helpful security device is of particular interest to holidaymakers in Spain. Not only is it approved for use on the roads there, it is also connected to the Spanish DGT 3.0 system, a government platform that connects road users in real time. The device signals the position of the vehicle without the driver having to leave the vehicle. 

Useful products in an emergency
Whether you are off-road or in dense fog, the OSRAM LEDriving® Lightbar SX500-CB gives you optimum visibility. With its 18 high-power LEDs, this additional headlight delivers up to 3900 lumens for a range of up to 300 meters. Not only is it highly versatile, it is also extremely lightweight and robust.
The OSRAM TYREinflate 6000, a cordless rechargeable pump, is the quick and easy remedy for flat tyres. The digital pump can inflate a tyre in just under two minutes and has a special setting for other inflatable objects such as airbeds and balls. Thanks to its power bank function, it doubles as a useful charger for smartphones, tablets and the like.
You have stowed all your equipment, taken down the awning and are ready to go, but your motorhome refuses to start. OSRAM Automotive has the answer: the OSRAM BATTERYstart 400. This quick-charge lithium starter can be used to start 12V vehicles with up to 8-liter petrol engines or up to 4-liter diesel engines. At night the built-in flashlight will help illuminate the engine compartment. 

ams OSRAM Automotive commits to sustainable packaging
ams OSRAM is working hard to improve sustainability by continually developing its products to achieve greater energy savings and longer service lives. In line with its commitment to the responsible use of finite resources, ams OSRAM Automotive has now also begun to replace the packaging for its entire retrofit lamp portfolio in the automotive lighting sector with eco-friendly alternatives. The new cartons are 100 percent plastic-free. They are made of recycled materials and are fully recyclable.
